HOT2000 Version History

The original Microsoft Windows version (v8.0) of the program was released in November 1998. Version 8.6 was released in June 2001 in support of the new R-2000 technical requirements. All versions since v8.6 have been updated to the new technical requirements including: a new R-2000 target calculation, calculation refinements, a house creation wizard, revised input dialogues and enhanced R-2000 reports. Version 8.7 was released in April 2002 to deal with software bugs and minor enhancements requested by users.

HOT2000 version 9.0 was released January 2003. It includes room-based heating and cooling design sizing (based on CSA F280), enhanced foundation inputs, a combination heating and hot water system, energy upgrades analysis, improved reporting and an increase to the number of surfaces allowed per house.
