Recommissioning

Introductory Seminar to the Recommissioning Guide

Recommissioning (RCx) optimizes existing buildings to improve occupant comfort and save energy.

CanmetENERGY and the Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) developed a half-day training seminar to introduce the RCx Guide to owners and managers of institutional and commercial buildings.

This RCx seminar is currently being deployed in Canada.

See the Calendar of Events for upcoming sessions.

The objective of the seminar is to introduce the RCx Guide in order to:

  • increase awareness of the benefits of RCx
  • present the standardized RCx process
  • encourage owners and managers to start an RCx project
  • help owners and managers:
    • understand the main steps in the RCx process
    • optimize the budget requirements for the RCx project
    • make a business case for RCx projects
    • see the value in undertaking a pilot RCx project
Target Clientele

The target clientele consists of individuals representing a wide array of building owners and managers, most of them in charge of a wide portfolio of buildings. They include:

  • property managers
  • managers of environmental initiatives
  • energy managers and analysis
  • representatives of building associations
