CanmetENERGY is currently developing a building energy prediction software tool. This tool uses real-time building control data to predict hourly whole building, chiller plant and heating plant (electricity and gas) energy demand for the next 24 hours.

The predicted energy demand profile will enable building operators to:

• better predict peak demand
• implement peak demand and energy management strategies
